Practice Focus: Carolyn K. Cole provides a broad range of sophisticated legal services to individual and business clients in traditional and emerging areas of law. Attorney Cole is an experienced trial attorney, specializing in complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, judgment enforcement, high-value divorce, contract disputes, defamation law, and foreclosure, unfair competition, and consumer protection. Many of the clients she represents are in the telecommunication, technology, real estate, manufacturing, financial, retail, and construction industries. Attorney Cole is licensed to practice in any trial court in New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York, both at the state and federal level. She also practices before the Public Utility Commissions in New Hampshire and Vermont, the Board of Tax and Land Appeals, and municipal zoning boards. Attorney Cole works closely with clients, guiding them through the litigation process, and just as frequently, counseling them on how to avoid litigation. Carolyn attended Middlebury College and then egan her career as a United States Peace Corps volunteer, serving as a midwife in the Central African Republic. She earned her Master's degree from Oxford University in Elizabethan and Jacobean English and then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She practiced in New York City for several years, focusing on Civil and Human Rights violations until moving to New Hampshire in 1999 where she practiced general civil litigation. In 2007 she served as in-house general counsel for a large telecommunication company until forming Cole Associates Civil Law, PLLC Civil Law, PLLC in 2013.
