Palmer Elementary School serves more than 600 children in kindergarten through grade six and is located in Sun Valley, Nev. The school offers regular classes in reading, music, art and physical education. It employs various staff members that include classroom teachers, guidance counselors, nurses, reading specialists, therapists, custodians and administrative assistants. Established in 1981, Palmer Elementary School organizes book fairs, family nights, field trips, summer camps and award assemblies. It is a part of the Washoe County School District, which operates more than 90 schools and serves over 63,000 students. The school district has more than 7,000 employees.
