History
We, Sutter (a Reno native) and Samantha (a Montana gal) Stremmel, moved to Reno in 2010 and were looking for a ceramics studio to join and found there was no public ceramics studio in Reno. So we opened a studio and it's been a slow and steady build. Now we have a thriving clay community at our studio where people can work in clay with collective respect and intrigue. We also have a small gallery space where studio members can display or sell their work.
Specialties
We are Reno's only public ceramics studio offering classes and workshops for people looking to get into working with clay. We also have memberships for people with experience who wish to work independently. A great way to join a clay community. We have ten pottery wheels, five kilns, glazes, tools and more. Our business hours are tough because we are never really open, but never really closed. When there is someone in the studio it mean we are open. Wednesday nights are a great time to catch us around or call for an appointment.
