Spring Mountain Youth Camp, also known as SMYC, is a division of the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, which is a part of the government of Clark County in Nevada. It is a correctional facility that houses male youths between the ages of 12 and 18. The division provides therapeutic, educational, social, medical and recreational services for more than 200 youths. Spring Mountain Youth Camp organizes substance abuse, parenting and social skill development programs. It also offers the Forestry Program and works with the United States Forest Service organization. The division provides the Spring Mountain Residential Center program for teaching independent living skills and daily chores to youths. In addition, the Department of Juvenile Justice Services operates probation services and detention services divisions.
