The Building Safety Division is a part of the Public Works Department, which is operated by the government of the city of North Las Vegas in Nevada. The division performs plan reviews and issues permits. It is also responsible for conducting inspections in accordance with municipal and construction codes. The division maintains a permit application center. The Building Safety Division provides online permit activity reports. The Public Works Department works to promote the health, safety and welfare of the general public. The department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the public infrastructure system. The Public Works Department has a staff of more than 200 full-time individuals.
