In operation for more than 50 years, Beck Elementary School provides educational services for students in kindergarten through grade six. It offers English as a Second Language, speech and special education programs. The school employs over 20 classroom teachers, as well as a guidance counselor, school psychologist and site facilitator. Beck Elementary School maintains a parent-faculty association that works to improve the quality of education at the school. It operates a library that features a range of recreational and classroom reading materials, as well as access to the Internet and an accelerated reader program. The school also maintains a cafeteria that provides a variety of breakfast and lunch options for students. Located in Reno, Nev., Beck Elementary School is a part of the Washoe County School District, which operates more than 90 schools.
