HistoryAnn Groso started Wellington Bookkeeping Service from her home in 1975. She had already been a bookkeeper for over 10 years for various businesses in Northern California and Nevada. She decided to strike out on her own to give local small businesses quality service. Once she had a steady business, she had people asking her if she knew of anyone who could pay personal bills. At the time there was no one in Carson City offering any such service, so she decided to fill that niche. Having been a single parent with two children she knew what it was like to have to juggle her own personal finances and she knew she could help others by offering an outside perspective on client's finances, free of judgement. Cathy Armstrong has been working in accounting since 1982. In 1989 Ann asked Cathy, her daughter, to come to work for her.
