History
Two years after the 1969 Stonewall riots in NYC, an event widely considered the most important of the gay liberation movement, 5 Star Saloon (originally named Paul's Lounge II) opened its doors to the gay and lesbian community of the Tahoe Valley as a safe place to drink, dance and mingle in a locale free from judgement and persecution. 45 years later, 5 Star Saloon has stood the test of time as the premier LGBTQA lounge and club in Northern Nevada, with top-notch staff and entertainment providing a 5 Star experience while maintaining the same dedication to promoting respect and equality for all.
