B.C. Burden came to Lincoln as an engineer with the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company in the late 1920's. An avid entrepreneur, B.C. soon started an Electric Salvage Company and an Electrical Engineering School. Surplus electrical components were offered for sale as experimenter's kits through the correspondence course books and in articles written for popular magazines dealing with new electrical and mechanical products.
