St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, located in Omaha, Neb., promotes its mission through worship, education and service. The church was established as a parish in 1989. The parish now has more than 2,700 families with over 11,000 individuals. It assists families with spiritual development and prayer by providing a variety of communal prayer and worship services that involve people in the sacramental life of the church. It encourages people to take responsibility as leaders in parish and communitywide programs. In addition, the church empowers families to work for social justice by addressing human suffering, serving those in need, pursuing peace, and defending the life and dignity of all people.
