About Our Organization Chartered in 1970, the Nebraska Wildlife Federation is a state-wide, non-profit, membership based organization dedicated to fish and wildlife conservation through environmental education, fish and wildlife conservation, and common sense public policy. Federation Business Council Whether working to protect the imperiled ecosystems of the Platte River and the Rainwater Basin, preserving the hidden majesty of the Pine Ridge or Niobrara River, searching out the last remnants of Nebraska's Tallgrass prairie, or helping state agencies better manage Nebraska's huntable and fishable species, the Nebraska Wildlife Federation is working for you and working for wildlife. Our programs promote nature education, environmental awareness and enjoyment. We work to advance state and national policies that are good for family farmers, rural communities and our natural resources. We are proud to be the independent state affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. Through this unique affiliate relationship, the two Federations retain independent memberships, boards of directors, and finances, but work closely together on issues of mutual concern. This unique relationship ensures that 100% of every dollar contributed to the Nebraska Wildlife Federation stays here in Nebraska, providing fish and wildlife habitat for current and future generations.
