Kohll's Pharmacy & Homecare, Inc
In 1948, Louis and Leona Kohll opened Kohll s Pharmacy & Homecare in Omaha, Neb., at Leavenworth Street and Park Avenue. Unable to afford employees, the couple managed to keep the store open from early morning until late night seven days a week, depending on their teenage son, Marvin, to deliver prescriptions and run errands. There are seven stores in the Omaha/Papillion metro areas. The staff includes pharmacists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and naturopathic consultants. Kohll s Pharmacy & Homecare has expanded to provide medical equipment and supply needs, as well as customized compounded prescriptions. It products and services include oxygen, diabetes needs, wheelchairs, scooters, stair glides and reclining lift chairs, mastectomy and compression garments, urological and incontinence supplies and products for new and expecting mothers. The pharmacy also offers health screenings, such as cholesterol and diabetes testing, and vaccinations, such as flu and pneumonia.
