History
In 1966, Bill Farrington and Fred Schlott, partners in Schlott Farrington and Associates, founded Indian Creek Nursery. The landscape architects and designers started the company out of a need for quality trees for the landscape projects they were designing. The 20 acre tree farm was located along Indian Creek, north of Council Bluffs, Iowa. The business expanded into shrubs, evergreens, and landscape installation. The untimely deaths of both partners made it necessary for Scott Farrington to assume the day-to-day management of the company in 1978. In 1981, the garden center on Saddle Creek Road was opened in Omaha. Retailing became the prime focus of the once exclusive landscape company, and by 1984, Scott Farrington was the sole owner of the business. The current focus of the company is growing and supplying the best possible products for our retail customers.
