Operational for more than 110 years, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is a labor organization, into the business of assisting the lives of people from public utility and electrical manufacturing. It represents approximately 725,000 members, working in the United States and Canada, in the fields of construction, telecommunications, manufacturing, railroads and government facilities. The organization s products include alarms and detection devices, appliances and household items, audio and video, batteries, computer, construction materials and tools, electronics, electrical components and lighting. Additionally, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) provides metal enclosures and cabinets, transformers, wire and cable, motors and generators and switchgear, panels and circuit breakers. It also offers a variety of items, including flags and banners, watches, shirts and jackets, rings, window signs and women's clothing. The union has associations with the National Electrical Contractors Association, National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee and Building & Construction Trades Department.
