Located in Omaha, Neb., Douglas County Corrections contributes to public safety by safely and effectively controlling inmates, managing offenders in the community and offering programs that prepare inmates to successfully re-enter society. Founded in 1979, the center has more than 400 housing units and a medical housing unit that can accommodate up to 62 male and female inmates. Its units feature over 1420 beds.
