The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District is a subdivision of the state of Nebraska. It offers irrigation water to more than 113,000 acres of land in central Nebraska. The district generates electricity for homes, farms and industries. Its hydro-irrigation project provides a range of recreational activities, including fishing, boating, swimming and camping. The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District s canal and lateral systems provide groundwater for a variety of municipal and industrial uses. The district manages a staff of more than 30 engineers, supervisors, equipment administrators and administrative personnel. The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District is headquartered in Holdrege, Neb.
