History
In 2005, I was incredibly fortunate to move from being a long-time band director in the public schools to being the Education Director at Bozeman's very own massage school, Health Works. Once there, I fell in love with everything about massage and decided to go through the training program myself. However....the best laid plans..... With the financial challenges of 2008 coinciding with my graduation from massage school and the thought of opening a new business in that climate, well, I went back to being a band director. But I just couldn't get massage out of my blood. I started Touch of Sense Massage out of an extra room in my house, part-time. Two years later it was time to make the leap. I left teaching, rented an office in Bozeman, and here I am today. A retired band director that has a wonderful and exciting second career as a massage therapist.
Specialties
Hi, folks. Thanks for looking at my Yelp site. I do deep relaxation work and effective deep release of sore muscles. What you need to know is that deep release doesn't have to hurt. Really! Another thing you need to know is that Yelp is a great advertising tool but they have some promotions on my page that I don't get to approve. Please understand that if another massage therapist or chiropractor or health oriented business is advertised here they paid for that ad; I really don't know anything about them and please don't assume that their positioning suggests I endorse them. Everyday I strive to positively affect the human body by thoughtfully integrating expertise in multiple hands-on techniques. Specializing in the non-invasive techniques of Lymphatic Facilitation, CranioSacral Release, Ortho-Bionomy and Fascial Decompression, I work to promote release and self-correction of deep holding patterns, allowing the body to reorganize to the highest level of balance and health of which it is capable at that time. Clients seeking deep relaxation as well as athletes challenged by immediate physical issues benefit from the broad foundation of knowledge and training brought to the table. As the owner and massage therapist at Touch of Sense, I am dedicated to quality massage therapy, designed for the individual. Deep Release does not mean you have to endure deep pain.
