Alpenglow Traveling Spa
A native Montanan, Hannah Johansen moved to the newly established Big Sky Ski Resort in 1973, where she worked closely with Chet Huntley, former NBC newscaster and founder of the resort. Chet's vision was to create a place where people could come and renew their spirits in the great outdoors of Montana. In 1982, Hannah furthered this vision by creating Alpenglow Massage where guests, in the magic of the mountain's glow, could renew their spirits on a deeper, more personal level through the practice of yoga and massage. In 2000, Hannah's business became Alpenglow Traveling Spa, when she took her services on the road to provide on-site massage and yoga/fitness programs to clients in the Big Sky area. In 2002, Hannah expanded her business to an international level when she created Alpenglow Adventure Spa, combining safe, active adventure trips with yoga/fitness, massage, meditation, and meaningful cross-cultural encounters in the world's most beautiful places. These adventures have taken Hannah and her guests to the Grand Canyon, southern Utah, British Columbia, Baja, South America, Nepal, India, Thailand, Maldives, Fiji, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In addition to leading her international team of massage therapists and yoga/fitness instructors, Hannah combines her spa, yoga and public speaking skills to design and present various educational programs for convention and corporate activities. She was invited to be a guest consultant for the Banyon Tree Spas in Phuket, Thailand. She also implemented a massage training program for the Banyon Tree Spas in the Maldives. Hannah is a creative visionary. Her love of adventure has led her down exciting and sometimes unconventional paths. Honesty, creativity and compassion are Hannah's greatest assests. Her passion is empowering people with knowledge and tools for their well-being. Through her dedication to teaching peace in the body, she has positively impacted the lives of many.
