Stillwater Mining Administration
Stillwater Mining is one of the world's leading producers of platinum group metals, with its corporate headquarters in Billings, Mont. Incorporated in 1992, its more than 25-mile long reef in Montana contains various platinum group metals. The production is more than 600,000 ounces of metals, consisting primarily of palladium, platinum and a minor amount of rhodium. The reef also contains significant amounts of iron, copper and nickel, and trace amounts of gold and silver. The company performs underground mining operations, with underground mine development and surface support facilities, including a concentrator, shop and warehouse, changing facilities, storage facilities, and office and tailings management facility. Stillwater Mining also conducts its own smelting and refining operations.
