The Center for Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization that offers mental health care services for more than 4,500 clients in central Montana. It has a staff of over 300 employees. Established in 1974, the center specializes in providing inpatient, case management, medication, monitoring and foster care services for individuals. The Center for Mental Health offers community-based residential programs that provide independent living services for adults with developmental disabilities. The center offers therapeutic and rehabilitative services. It also provides personal hygiene and peer support services. The Center for Mental Health organizes recreational activities and offers the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) program for individuals with chronic mental illnesses. In addition, it receives support from the CMH Foundation.
