Capital High School operates various departments to meet the academic needs of the students in grades nine through 12. Its departments include freshman house, business and career center, the Cisco Networking Academy and student services. Its curriculum includes fine arts, foreign languages, family and consumer sciences, health and human performance, history, government, social studies, world cultures and vocational education. It encourages students to participate in various projects and provides an online catalog, which includes more than 15,500 books and audiovisuals for student and staff use. The library collection also includes more than 80 magazines and four daily newspapers. Its Cisco Networking Academy provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking technology to empower students to enter employment and further education and training in the computer networking field.
