Camp Mak-A-Dream, founded in 1991 and located in Gold Creek, Mont., is operated by the Children's Oncology Camp Foundation. It is a medically supervised, cost-free camp for children of ages 6 to 13 years, teens ages 14-to-18 years and young adults ages up to-25 years and Camp Mak-A-Dream offers a variety of activities including swimming, ropes courses, archery, outdoor games, hiking, fishing, crafts and group cabin chat. It organizes educational workshops and discussions. Camp Mak-A-Dream also hosts retreats for adults with cancer. The camp facility includes four cabins, an 11,000-square-foot lodge, an art studio, health center, maintenance building, pool, hot tub, archery range and ropes course. The facility is also available for rent to private parties and corporate groups in the off-season.
