Established in 1902, the United States Bureau of Reclamation is a water management agency. It is one of the largest wholesale water suppliers in the United States that operates over 348 reservoirs. The firm is also one of the leading producers of hydropower in the United States and operates more than 58 hydroelectric powerplants. United States Bureau of Reclamation manages, develops and protects water and related resources. It has constructed more than 600 dams and reservoirs including Hoover Dam on the Colorado River and Grand Coulee on the Columbia River.
