WINCO Window Company was the first prime architectural aluminum window manufacturer in the United States when it was granted a patent for a 4-inch projected glass block window in 1939. WINCO continues to manufacture window systems, working closely with architects and installers to develop solutions to the most demanding technical and site challenges. A comprehensive computer system at WINCO performs estimating, shop drawings, detailing, fabrication, shop data, layouts and order tracking. Sister company, Architectural Metals, provides state-of-the-art finishing plant, quality anodizing for WINCO products as well as for other companies including Alumax, Hydro-Wells Aluminum, Imperial Ornamental, Modern Metals, Foreman Fabricators, American Fiber-lite and American Device. Along with anodizing, AMI also offers a full line of painting and metal forming options for its customers. WINCO s glass needs for single and insulated orders are furnished on-site by Architectural Glass Products, another subsidiary of WINCO.
