The Village Bar was opened in 1948. It is the oldest continuously operating bar in Kirkwood.
The bar is made of rich oak and it is dark in color which is customary for bars from that time period.
The food is good and the beer is cold. The servers are proud of the rich history of the bar. They point out the old pictures hanging on the walls and tell stories of good times and old customers from times past. This is a good place to grab a beer and unwind.
