HistoryAs a factory trained pool table technician, I started Schmidt Billiards in Columbia, MO to service existing pool tables in homes and businesses in the mid MO area. In 1986 I began buying, refurbishing, and reselling pool tables from my current location at 601 N. Hwy. UU, just 3 miles west of Columbia. By 1993, my sales were brisk and I decided to move to a more visible location in Columbia and for 15 years sold billiard and game supplies from Bernadette Square. In 2008, when the economy was slumping, sales declined and I made the decision to move back to my original location, located on my 10 acre property at 601 N. Hwy. UU in Boone County. We sell and service new and used billiard tables, pool cues and lighting, shuffleboard tables, foosball, table tennis, darts and dartboards, and casino supplies.SpecialtiesWe sell and service new and used pool tables, shuffleboard tables, Foosball tables, pool cues, darts, poker and casino supplies, table tennis supplies and Man Cave decor (signs, neon clocks, etc.). The A.E. Schmidt company was founded in St. Louis in 1850 by Fred Schmidt's great-great grandfather. Pool tables have been in the family's blood for five generations. We carry A.E. Schmidt, Olhausen and other brands of pool tables. We are the only Central MO full service pool and Man Cave supplier.
