St. Paul Catholic Church is a large parish with a full range of facilities and organizations, including an elementary school, men's club, St. Anne's Sodality, mother's club, Catholic Women of Faith, a youth ministry and an active athletic association. There are several choirs. The first Mass at St. Paul's was celebrated on Christmas Day 1879. The first church was a white frame building. The first brick church was constructed in Olde Town Fenton on Main Street. It still stands today. As the congregation grew, a bigger facility was needed and a church/school building was built in 1959 on the site of a former orphanage on Smizer Mill Road. The current church was dedicated on Nov. 4, 1984, allowing the school to expand into the old church building.
