Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra offers music programs to thousands of people in schools, churches, parks, community organizations and other venues throughout the region. The orchestra organizes programs, festivals and showcases at more than 100 schools in over 10 area school districts. It is also home to the Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra that includes musicians from more than three-dozen area schools. Its other services include performances in more than 30 African-American churches through the IN UNISON program. The organization also offers educational opportunities to people to learn about music, such as explaining the difference between the violin and viola, and how to be dressed to attend symphony concerts. The orchestra is located in St. Louis.
