I always gravitated towards the biological sciences, and as I went through high school and college, I realized that I wanted to do something patient-facing. Medicine felt like a natural fit for me. I see patients with migraines and headaches after they?ve tried other treatment options. They?re referred to me for advanced treatment options. The best thing about being a neurologist is giving people their lives back. Headaches, migraines and other conditions can be debilitating. The goal is to get them back to where they were or where they want to be. That may not always happen, but it?s always the goal to get to a more positive outcome. If I can do that, it?s all worth it. I truly believe you should treat people the way you want to be treated. When I see patients, I picture myself or my parents or grandparents and I think what would I want for myself or for my loved ones? I hope it?s evident to my patients that I really do care and want what's best for them.
