The SEMO Health Network, formerly known as the New Madrid County Group Practice, is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of health care services for under-served and low-income individuals. Also known as the Southeast Missouri Health Network, the organization was established in 1978 and serves the residents of Dunklin, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott and Stoddard counties in Missouri. The SEMO Health Network administers a pharmacy assistance program that includes prescription drug assistance for senior citizens. It also organizes a variety of outreach activities, such as health fairs, migrant registration, and dental, blood pressure and head start screenings. Additionally, the organization accepts insurance plans of various companies, including Medicaid and Medicare. The SEMO Health Network maintains a location in Sikeston, Mo.
