SpecialtiesAt Jo Noth's White Oak Dance Academy, we feel each and every student is an important member of our team. We do a recital with costumes every year and a workshop with leotards, etc. every other year. We do a Christmas Show for the Salvation Army every year where we have raised thousands of dollars and lots of food. Also for the past 20 years, we have done Christmas Shows at the Good Shepherd Manor. Dance education inspires good work habits and healthy lifestyle choices. Studies show that a structured dance program enhances academic achievement. All classes are taught by highly qualified adult teachers who enjoy working with children of all ages. Dance builds confidence, self respect, self discipline and joy and excitement for the arts. Our competitive Dance Troupe has won many high score awards both regionally and nationally, and we are proud to be the home of the reigning '2008 Miss Dance' Maddyn Smithpeter, 'Teen Miss Dance' Payden VanCamp and 'Miss Dance' Sara Shippy. Many of Jo Noth's students have gone on to professional careers on cruise ships, Disney World, Las Vegas, New York and Paris. We expect students to show respect for their teacher, fellow students and themselves while having fun learning the art of dance.
