Rock Hill Library opened June 4, 1944. After transitioning from a nearly all volunteer staff to employees, the library opened at its current location in 2006. The Rock Hill Public Library is a member of the Municipal Library Consortium of St. Louis County, which consists of nine independent community libraries in St. Louis County.
Services include Internet access for patrons and non-patrons alike, homework help programs, research databases and interlibrary loaning. Rock Hill also hosts the Read to a Dog program, which helps children oversome reading obstacles.
