Open Door Food Kitchen in Saint Joseph, MO, has been dedicated to building a better community by providing hot, nutritious meals to those in need since 1984. Serving a diverse range of individuals, including the working poor, women and children, senior citizens, veterans, and the homeless, the kitchen operates seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Under the leadership of Mary T. Cargill, the kitchen has recently relocated to a new facility on South 8th Street, where they continue to serve 250-325 meals daily.
