Feed My People
Feed My People was founded in October 1982 by John and Carol DeGuire. It was begun to meet the growing needs of the poor in South County. By the end of 2003 Feed My People had grown to an organization helping almost 85,000 people a year in a variety of ways. The service area includes 16 zip codes from the Mississippi River to Pacific, Missouri, at the Franklin County Line, and from I-44 to the Meramec River and beyond. In March 1989 Feed My People opened a second office in Fenton to handle the growing number of people needing help in southwest St. Louis County and northwest Jefferson County. In 1997, this office was moved from Fenton to High Ridge because of the need for more space.
