Missouri Lottery was founded in 1985 and helps fund the state's public education programs. A five-member commission, appointed by the governor and approved by the senate, governs the lottery. It has executive office, integrated services and sales, and marketing and product development divisions. The Missouri Lottery s free player membership program, My Lottery, allows players to receive a free-play coupon; to access a variety of tools to help manage group-play activities; and to participate in special My Lottery Web promotions throughout the year. It has a computerized drawing system that was implemented in 2004 and uses new technology to select the numbers for the numbers games. Missouri Lottery is headquartered in Jefferson City, Mo., with three regional offices in Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield.
