Lemay Plumbing has been serving the St. Louis areas' residential and commercial plumbing needs for over 50 years. Our family plumbing service business was established in 1955, by my grandfather, Art Hartmann. My father, Charlie Hartmann grew up helping Grandpa and joined him in the business. In 1982, the business was handed over to Charlie, and was moved to our present location. In the years since, we had a retail showroom and parts department and offered plumbing service. In 2002, the retail portion of the business was closed, so we could concentrate our resources on providing our valued customers with the level of service that they deserved. My sister Shelly Chambliss joined the company in 1982, and still serves as the office manager, bookkeeper and paycheck signer. We have to be nice to her! Like my father, I grew up in the trade. I came onboard in 1987, after receiving an engineering degree from UMR, then realizing that I would be happier being part of our family business. In 2007, Dan Chambliss, Shelly's husband, teamed up with us. Dan has vast experience performing commercial plumbing installations. This has allowed us to provide even better service to our commercial customers and to pursue more commercial business.
