History
La Cosecha Coffee Roasters began in 2006 by two home roasters, Jamie Jeschke and Gio Sparks. Starting with hot air popcorn poppers, Jamie and Gio became active home roasters, learning through trial and error. This was followed by formal training and lots of practice on a fluid bed air roaster and a Diedrich IR-12 drum roaster. The decline in coffee commodity prices and learning about the plight of the coffee farmers served as the impetus to start a business with the goal of buying Fair-Trade coffee.
