Established in 1916, the College of Osteopathic Medicine is affiliated with the Kansas University of Medicine and Biosciences. It is a medical school and enrolls more than 850 students in a four-year program. The first two years of the curriculum are classroom oriented and focus on the basic of the medical sciences. The last two years focus on training programs of the students. The College of Osteopathic Medicine has a three-semester system, such as fall, spring and summer semesters. It additionally provides postdoctoral training programs for the students. It offers financial aid programs according to the need of the students. The college also provides awards, loans and scholarships for the students. It also has a library and media center that provides books, journals and Internet access. The College of Osteopathic Medicine is located in Kansas City, Mo.
