I've been in practice almost 27 years. I?ve spent some time in urban areas, but I wanted to return to rural practice and I?m glad I did. I have a lot of autonomy, but I also have access to a lot of resources. I was at my previous practice for around 13 years, but it's really fun to meet the new patients and to see the complexity of the needs people have. I'm really enjoying that I'm able to provide my knowledge and resources for their benefit. I want my patients to know I?ll listen. I spend a lot more time listening than talking. And I also love to teach. Patients tell me that no one's ever explained that to me before. It gives me great joy to open up to my patients a a world of knowledge about what's going on inside their body and shares ways they can improve their own health.
