History

Marilyn Strauss founded the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival to present professional Shakespeare FREE to the Kansas City community. Since 1993, HASF has called Southmoreland Park home and has presented 31 productions to audiences every summer.

HASF presents FREE professional Shakespeare in Southmoreland Park and provides year-round education programs to youth and adults.
