The Girl Scouts is an organization which serves girls in grades K through 12, offering opportunities to socialize, build character, develop life skills and serve the community. Women older than 17 can join the Girl Scouts as adult members, and Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM) is always accepting volunteers to assist in the activities and commitments of the organization. GSEM has a membership of more than 60,000 girls and has 18,000 adult volunteers providing assistance; additionally, more than 1,000 girls with disabilities have given back to their communities through GSEM.
