Established in 1932, the Fenton Fire Protection District serves the residents of St. Louis County in Missouri. The district issues permits for building construction, commercial use, blasting, bonfires, open burning and commercial fireworks. The Fenton Fire Protection District maintains several fire stations that serve a population of more than 65,000 individuals and covers an area of over 25 square miles. The district responds to nearly 3,200 requests for emergency assistance. It works with a team of more than 60 personnel. The Fenton Fire Protection District organizes fire station tours, as well as offers child safety seat installation services. The district has fire apparatuses that include a rescue boat and pumpers, ladders, ambulances, and staff and maintenance vehicles. It offers Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training sessions. The Fenton Fire Protection District has received the Accredited Agency status by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).
