The Family Counseling Center was formed in 1976 as a small alcohol and drug outpatient facility. Today, it serves more than 6,000 clients each year and is one of the leading providers of behavioral health care services. The center offers outpatient psychiatric, administration, housing, and alcohol and drug prevention services. Its psychiatric services include day treatment, case management, crisis intervention, employee assistance, and individual, family and child therapies. It provides housing services for homeless individuals with mental health or substance abuse disabilities. The center s prevention and intervention program provides alcohol and drug outpatient services to at-risk adolescents and their families. The Family Counseling Center maintains a facility in Kennett, Mo.
