History
The history of our firm dates back to 1912, when Gaylord Elliot secured the first horse-drawn hearse used in Houston, MO. The firm was sold in 1952 to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duff. From 1964 to 2005 the Evans Family owned and operated the funeral home, and in 2005, Shawn and Lana Brown purchased the firm. Today, Evans Funeral Home continues to be a funeral home in which our community can place its confidence and trust. The foyer offers a homelike atmosphere where friends and family can gather...and the modern chapel which offers comfort and beauty to all. Shawn and Lana, and their professional staff are here to assist you in every way. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
