History
Dressel's was opened by Poet Jon Dressel and wife Barbara in 1980. The Pub was conceived as a meeting place between two universities where writers, artists, musicians and the like could find a warm welcome with hearty pub fare. The Music was always Classical or Jazz, no televisions, a place for conversation and social discourse. For more than 20 years Dressel's was a landmark for the St. Louis Pub Scene. In 2005 the Pub was purchased by son Benjamin. Since that time Dressel's has expanded and fully embraced the local food movement while looking to create the most consistent and delicious food possible that represents creative, playful and yummy pub inspired fare.
