Washington University Cardiologists is a group of more than 60 cardiologists that specializes in care and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It provides diagnostic and treatment options for coronary artery disease, hypertension, cardiac attack, heart failure and other related problems. The group performs diagnostic cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, valvuloplasty, brachytherapy, rotational atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound, and stent and pacemaker implantation procedures. Washington University Cardiologists undertakes over 10,000 procedures annually. It also performs echocardiogram, Holter monitoring, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, radiofrequency catheter ablation, arrhythmia surgery and stress test procedures. In addition, the group maintains a cardiac diagnostic laboratory that offers comprehensive and noninvasive assessment of cardiac anatomy, function and perfusion. Washington University Cardiologists is a part of Washington University Physicians, which is a network of primary care and specialist physicians and is a full-time faculty at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
