Butterfly Haven was founded in 2006 as an outreach ministry. In 2015, Butterfly Haven, Inc. received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. In 2016, Butterfly Haven, Inc. opened their office in Overland, Missouri. In 2020, Butterfly Haven, Inc. moved to their current location.
