Pastor Ralph Green describes Antioch Baptist Church as an "old country church." The small congregation mostly sings old hymns and women still get together here to make quilts and comforters to donate in the community. A traditional Southern Baptist church, Antioch Baptist's congregation began meeting in 1841. The sanctuary dates to the 1920s and the on-site cemetery was started in the 1860s. Green describes today's congregation as friendly and relaxed. He said the church works to glorify God. "That's the single thing every church should be doing."
