In Business for Over 40 Years The Missouri Career Center - Saint Louis County is part of a national network of workforce development professionals. The mission of the Missouri Career Center is to serve as a community and business partnership supporting economic development with a qualified workforce. The "One Stop" concept focuses on providing a variety of employment training services for the residents of Saint Louis County. Career Center partners include: Better Family Life, Inc.; International Institute; MERS/Goodwill; St. Louis Community College; and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. Funding for the Missouri Career Center - Saint Louis County is through a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor & the Missouri State Division of Workforce Development through a grant to the Saint Louis County Department of Human Services. All services are offered at no fee. Governance for the Missouri Career Center - Saint Louis County is provided by the Workforce Investment Boa rd. The Board is comprised of highly respected corporate and community leaders representing a diverse, cross-section of Saint Louis County. Each Board member lends his/her expertise to ensure that Saint Louis County remains competitive in the metropolitan area by providing meaningful employment opportunities and attracting new businesses.
