Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association (TVEPA) is an electric cooperative that serves more than 26,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in nine north Mississippi counties. As a nonprofit distributor of electricity that is generated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), TVEPA conducts business for the benefit of its member-owners. As a result, the company s rates are among the lowest in the Southeast United States and in the nation. TVEPA is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors that is elected by the member-owners whom are served by the electric cooperative. The company has its headquarters in Batesville, Miss., and has additional service personnel stationed in the Mississippi communities of Senatobia, Coffeeville and Charleston.
